How Stupid Can You Be?
No matter the circumstance, the confusion, or the chaos, there is no excuse:
Parents Leave Baby At Train Station:
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - A panicked moment for some New Jersey parents when they mistakenly left their 6-month-old infant on the platform of the New Brunswick train station.
New Brunswick police say the parents were hauling several pieces of luggage, and each thought the other was carrying the child, when they boarded an NJ Transit train at about 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
Instead, the infant was still in a stroller on the train platform.
Police say the parents soon realized the mistake. They alerted the train conductor, who called police.
The father exited at the next train stop, and took a cab back to New Brunswick to retrieve the baby, who was unharmed.
Police didn’t file any charges against the parents.
I cannot fathom how it’s possible to do such a thing. How do you not have one hand on your child at all times at a mass transit facility of one kind or another. Six months old and they treat the kid like luggage. “We’re carrying lots of luggage and we just forgot!” likening the child to a hair dryer in a carry-on bag.
You forget things, not people.
My sincere hope is that this child has a long life filled with telling his parents to STFU any time they tell him/her to be careful.

Everytime I see a parent put a baby carrier on the roof of a car I get freaked, I used to have nightmares about that when mine was a youngin’. Seeing the movie “Raising Arizona” didn’t help.

Great flick!
I don’t understand the whole forgetting thing though. I’ve seen stories about babies being left in cars overnight because both parents thought they brought them inside the house, and I just don’t get it. Unless something is mentally really messed up with you, how is that something you can just … forget?
