Gun-Toting Soccer Mom
Where to begin with this crap.
Officials in Pennsylvania have revoked a woman’s concealed-weapons permit because other parents complained that she was carrying her loaded handgun at her daughter’s soccer games. Meleanie Hain said she’s fighting the revocation by the Lebanon County sheriff.
Revoked a conceal permit because she was open carrying in a part of the country where it’s legal to open carry. What I’m wondering is if she was in a “gun free zone” near a local school or some such thing, but I wouldn’t bet on that.
Hain lost the permit and got a warning from local soccer officials after a game on Sept. 11.
How about, “Go stick that goal post up your ass” as a suitable response.
Sheriff Michael DeLeo says openly carrying a weapon to a youth soccer match shows a lack of judgment.
I’m sure Sheriff thinks open carrying anywhere shows a lack of judgment. To me, it shows perfectly clear judgment. Your child is there, and you are responsible for the protection of yourself and your family. She’s not hurting anybody other than some people having their delicate sensibilities offended.
Hain tells the Lebanon Daily News she’s always openly carried a firearm without any problems in the past.
Oh, that doesn’t matter to these people. They’ve got great imaginations.
And her lawyer — Robert Magee — says that while Pennsylvania requires a permit for a concealed firearm, it doesn’t require a license to carry one openly except in Philadelphia.
They should promptly re-issue her license and that Sheriff should be fined.

Yet another reason why I hate permits.
