I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love this quote with all my heart - from the 2008 Democrat Platform (efficiently torn apart here):
We believe that the right to own firearms is subject to reasonable regulation, but we know that what works in Chicago may not work in Cheyenne.
Oh … what was it that was working in Chicago again?
Best Democrat talking point EVER! More like, “We realize you cousin-humping, gun-owning hicks in Wyoming will hunt us down, hang us from a tree and gut us if we try to ban everything and give criminals free reign like we do in Chicago.” Where did they find the oxygen-starved baboon that could write this tripe?

The current murder rate for Chicago (as of July 31st) is actually closer to 17.5. That is probably even higher as the population has decreased since the last number taken.
That’s 5-6x higher than the rest of the state.
