Brady Campaign To Prevent My Fun
Last Friday, Angus and I hit the range. I brought two very fun items to shoot up. A keyboard. And a burnt-out motherboard. Behold pictures of destruction!
First up, the keyboard. You know, there’s something magnificent about typing with 9mm rounds. Angus’ CZ helped in a lot of this destruction, blasting the keys off in all directions. When there were sufficient holes in it, I broke out the SKS and tore the thing clean in half with a few shots.
But someone wants to take all that fun away … can you think of who that might be? Here’s a clue …
And … the motherboard! That’s the last time you fail on a bios update, bitch!
The most interesting piece of destruction was the two-part heatsink I had on here. It’s a standard AMD heatsink for their socket 939 processors. One shot with the SKS did some neat damage.
The base plate of the heatsink is about an 8th inch piece of steel with a few smaller fins on it. Here’s the entry …
And the exit …
The flimsy aluminum fins perched atop (where the fan is affixed) were bent in all sorts of ways, and the bullet distorted the copper tubing wildly.
Quite a hole cut right through the fins …
And yes, I removed the perfectly good processor before laying waste to the board. I am hardly uncivilized!
That was too much fun! Must get out there again with more crap to shoot!

Furby Death Dirge. Heh. I’m thinking I need to buy a whole mess o’ used Furbys on eBay and organize a Furby Trap Shoot. Something about those little critters makes it real easy to enjoy watching them get shot!

Be careful! Now the media will be looking to run a hit piece on the dangers of “PC piercing ammunition,” with the Brady’s help of course.
OTOH, shooting electronics is pure bliss! I hate electronics as they don’t work well with me. And the Brady keys picture is priceless.

It is pure bliss, indeed. I’m thinking of hitting some local garage sales just to buy crap I can fill full of holes. Maybe some old turntables or cassette decks for a few dollars that would provide at least a couple hours of enjoyment. Video didn’t kill the radio star, my SKS did. Heh.
