Interesting side note: When my son was a baby and just learning to eat solid foods, I used a variation of the 2001 theme to get him to eat.

That’s a perfectly reasonable parenting thing to do (be driven insane, that is). Now, if he would’ve then figured out how to use a chewed up cookie as something to beat you over the head with, I’d worry.
