I’ve read a few stories about this lately … being required to trade in old ammo for new, shiny, encoded ammo that’s ridiculously expensive.

I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that if some organization demands and requires the law-abiding to trade in their old ammo, that they can expect said ammo to arrive very quickly. At least 1200 fps.
