You know, the whole NIU thing got me thinking about this whole “sue gun manufacturers” if some mass murdering idiot goes postal with a weapon that has their logo on it.

It’s a ridiculous premise. You can’t sue a bathtub manufacturer if some crazed psycho babysitter drowns your kids in it. You can’t sue a knife manufacturer if some crazy carves up your girlfriend with it.

But you know what I’d love to see? Why not allow gun manufacturers to sue the psychopath (or family of) for using their product improperly? After all, haven’t they then contributed to a loss of business/sales due to that improper use?

I know. Fat chance, but still, it would make more sense than something like suing Ford because someone drove one over your fence and into the living room of your house.
