Over the years, I've lost quite a few cats to nocturnal predators. I'm sure that owls can take a cat if they are up to the challenge, but you never know ,tables turn in nature. I had a family of barred owls set up camp in my back yard a few years ago and not a night went by when the hair on the back of my neck didn't stand up straight when they started in on their nocturnal habits of noise making; very spooky stuff!
