Arizona over the last twenty years because of illegal immigration. Contrary to popular opinion, a large percentage of them vote, and they vote Democratic, thus the change in So. Arizona (Tucson to the border) from a strong Republican base to a strong Democratic base. We now have two of the most left wing members in Congress, Giffords and Grijalva. They will lose a lot of political clout if suddenly 20 million of them end up on the other side of the border. The politicos (especially the Dems) know this and are trying to prevent the loss of millions of potential voters.
